Super Arcing Prisms takes the psychedelic spiraling modulation, frequency shifting and delay effects of the Arcing Prisms and adds instant foot-switch access to four different sounds – kind of like presets, but without losing the WYSIWYG interface style that Iron Ether pedals have always had.
Two sets of controls can be selected by a foot-switch, with the active sound indicated by a color-changing blue/red LED. Another latching foot-switch functions like an on-off expression pedal, adding two more instant settings that add to whichever parameter the expression pedal is assigned to, indicated by a blue/green color-changing LED.
This setup gives quick access to the variety of mystical sounds in the Arcing Prisms:
- Phasers that seem to shift forever up or down
- Flangers that don’t sweep
- Bell-like inharmonic frequency shifting tones
- Delays that become increasingly phased and psychedelic with every repeat
- Unnamed modulations that are halfway between each of these at the same time
- Expression pedal can control any of the main parameters, sweeping from a flanger to delay, or phaser to frequency shifter
Super Arcing Prisms’s graphics are engraved three-dimensionally into the enclosure and hand-finished in three colors.
